Gambia's president is unarguably the most generous president in Africa. Over the years, the President has splashed cash gifts and landed properties worth millions of dollars to top Nollywood and Ghanaian actors. A move which is frowned upon by the people of his country as they believe he is splashing Gambia's coffers on mere frivolities which could be channeled into developmental projects for the good of the country.
The beneficiaries of the President's benevolence have always been top stars who have paid their dues and are well respected and skillful in their craft. In a new twist, few months ago, the president opted for a relatively 'unknown' actress, Mimi Orjiekwe which made many tongues to wag as Mimi has achieved little or nothing in the make believe world. She mostly appears in soaps opera and does little supporting roles which is also known as 'waka pass' roles.
Well, it seems the bubble on Mimi's candidacy has officially been busted as insiders reveal that the actress who is married to fellow 'waka pass' actor, Charles Billion is in neck deep hot romantic relationship with the president of Gambia, Yahya Jammeh. Neck deep, I say because the relationship has allegedly threatened her new home and in the heat of an argument, she called her husband broke. The depressed husband had to leave the home and only recently returned due to pleas from his wife and her friends.
Many of her friends wondered why Mimi is just realizing that her husband, Charles is broke as she wore his engagement ring for over 3 years due to his inability to source fund for their wedding which they manage to do on a low key last year. One of her close ally went further to say that Mimi is too classy for Charles and he would never be able to provide for her that she should have left him to marry a low class lady. She however admitted that Mimi loves her husband and would do everything to make him happy.
Love you say! I think that word is the most abused word on planet earth. I honestly do not know the definition of love but I sure know it is not selfish and people who are genuinely in love are supposed to be faithful. I have always wondered why some girls sleep around and bring the money to a man they 'claim to be in love with'. My dear, that is not love, it is foolishness, If that is love, then living a loveless life is the sure way to go.
Well, Mimi has been indirectly backing her friends claims as she is unconsciously leaving clues on her social media pages with photos of her all expense paid trips to Gambia, all happy and living the fabulous life, leaving most of her friend and colleaguse green with envy.
I am sincerely tired of these negativity trailing most married actress but then again it might just be mere fabrications by some jealous colleagues claiming to be insiders and sending stories to us bloggers. To Mimi advocates and busy bodies who are sure going to attack me with sweet nonsense, do not forget to check the word 'allegedly' on your dictionary or simply google it.
To all you gullible Nollywod fans; envy no one because all that glitters is not gold.
